The AKG C414 has been a legend since 1971. Well known for capturing overheads, acoustic guitars and vocals. So, what's the difference between this and the XLII? Well it's really in the capsule, The XLS has a more distinct classic C414 sound where the GOLD XLII has a slight presence bump at about 3 k to make a vocal pop. The C414 XLS multi-pattern condenser microphone offers a choice of nine polar patterns for the perfect sonic capture for every application. A peak hold LED displays even the shortest overload peaks.
