DI Boxes

D.I, or direct injection boxes are designed to accept a high impedance input, such as an electric guitar or line-level input and convert that signal to a low impedance mic-level output. They are great in the studio, as they enable you to utilise your vintage microphone pre-amps to record a guitar or keyboard directly. Many D.I boxes will feature an earth button, that helps eliminate unwanted electric interference from lighting etc. when playing live.
