DPA d:dicate 3506A Stereo Kit with 4006A Microphones

The DPA d:dicate 3506A Stereo Kit features two 4006A Omnidirectional microphones, that have been tested and matched to be within +/-0.50 dB of each other - for both frequency response and sensitivity! The Stereo Kit offers amazing value, being supplied with only the best in precision tools required for highly accurate and detailed stereo recording. Accessories include the DPA UA0837 Stereo Boom, which can be mounted on a stand or rigged to the ceiling. The Stereo Boom allows for fine adjustments of the microphone's spacing and angle, via the embedded metric grid.

The microphone capsule

• The MMC4006 Omnidirectional Microphone Capsule offers total transparency in any recording situation. It picks up incredible detail and depth of sound. The definition of its high-frequency characteristics across a wide range of instruments is impressive. It offers natural sound, high sensitivity, low noise floor and extremely linear frequency response from 10 to 20 kHz (±2 dB).

• The d:dicate™ 4006A Omnidirectional Microphone is a flexible solution. Engineers, broadcasters and musicians alike can achieve clean, natural and precise sound reproduction. This mic is ideal for A-B stereo pairs for symphonic concert hall recordings. It also excels on vocals, for close-miking all types of instruments and as an outdoor interview microphone.

• A selection of accessories is available, including acoustic pressure equalizers, a nose cone and interchangeable protection grids. These accessories can acoustically transform the mic. By changing grids, it is possible to gain several unique frequency responses and directional characteristics from the mic. Furthermore, these accessories will not produce any phase shift, noise or distortion that would otherwise be introduced by an electrical filter.

A truly flexible range

• The d:dicate™ 4006A Omnidirectional Microphone is part of the flexible d:dicate™ microphone series. It combines the MMC4006 Omnidirectional Capsule with the MMP-A preamplifier. This combination is for the true audiophile. It offers low distortion and totally accurate and faithful sound.

• Another option is the d:dicate™ 4006C Omnidirectional Microphone, Compact offers a subtle character alteration with a bit more “body” to the low end than the d:dicate™ 4006A Omnidirectional Microphone.

• At any time, and with no tools needed, it is possible to transform the d:dicate™ 4006A Omnidirectional Microphone into a new configuration. You can combine it with another d:dicate™ or d:facto™ Microphone Capsule or Preamplifier.
