Excellent Synth and value packed into such an affordable price. Great way to get into Modular or analog gear

Exploration
I’ve always felt a little funny about Behringer gear, but this is a real powerful machine. It can creat some intensely wacky sounds. I’ve been running my korg Sq-1 through it which is a heap of fun to noodle around with.

Super Happy.
The price was cheaper than anywhere else and it was shipped super quick. The Neutron is an awesome synth. All in all I'm super happy with it all.

Awesome value
This thing is fantastic. I've been jealous for a long time of various friends analog mono-synths (in particular a korg MS20 mini and a Moog Little Phatty), and this thing has well and truly cured that jealousy! I was initially not expecting much from the big B, but It sounds fantastic and is almost hypnotic to perform on.
A notable weakness of many analog monos is that they really need a delay or reverb to shine, but no analog synth manufacturer seems willing to integrate a digital effects stage right before the output. The Neutron gets around this with an analog Bucket-Brigade Delay, which makes for great leads and arpeggios. The delay can also feed-back infinitely into a raging storm of analog distortion, and the delay time can be modulated via CV, causing the pitch-shifting artifacts the BBDelay is known for. I have heard people complain about the distortion and delay modules affecting the clean tone of the oscillators, but this is a semimodular synth: if you don't like the distortion or delay where they are, you can just patch them out or configure them in a different order.
What cannot be overstated is value of this machine. For those just dipping their toes in the eurorack ecosystem, the neutron is a bit of a no brainer: a Slew, two attenuators, multiples, S+H, an inverter, a morphing LFO which can be pushed into audio rates paraphonic MIDI-CV conversion and a full synth voice including a resonant filter with 1V/octave tracking as well as delay and distortion would cost 3-4 times as much if you purchased individual eurorack modules to fill those roles, and that's if you were going for the cheap stuff.
6/5 if you're going to use the modular features
4/5 if you just need a solid analog mono module
