NAMM 2015 - Dave Smith Sequential Prophet 6

Earlier this year, Yamaha were nice enough to hand over the Sequential Circuits brand name over to Dave Smtih to be used on his new synth - the Sequential Prophet 6.  It's a 6-voice analog polyphonic synthesizer which has it's roots from the classic Prophet 5!

The Prophet 6 takes many of the best qualities of the Prophet 5, such as true VCA, filters and amps, but adds DSP controlled voltages for intelligently tuned voicing of its analog soul!  It also adds some new-age enhancements such as digital effects, a polyphonic step-sequencer, and arpeggiator - all in a minimalist 'knob-per-function' front panel that allows super-easy access to parameters. 

As is the case with anything Dave Smith puts his name on, the Prophet 6 will surely be capable of producing some lovely sounds!

The Prophet 6 is still in development at this stage, but should be available around the 2nd quarter of 2015 with an estimated RRP of USD $2800.
