RME have announced the release of free firmware updates that equip a range of their popular Fireface audio interface models with room correction facilities for immersive audio setups.
With the new firmware and drivers installed, owners of the flagship Fireface UFX+, UFX II, UFX III (review available in print / web / app / replica / PDF editions) and UCX II will all gain access to a host of new features aimed at multi-channel immersive audio monitoring formats. Paired with the latest version of the company’s control software, TotalMix FX 1.93, the interfaces all benefit from a powerful set of features that include Room EQ, a new plug-in that provides up to 20 channels of nine-band parametric EQ along with up to 16 channels of delay compensation for their analogue and digital outputs.
The latest version of TotalMix FX for macOS and Windows, along with the relevant interface firmware and driver updates, are all now available to download for free, from the RME website.
