Four-band EQ

The 1084EQ shares the same circuit as the 1073EQ but comes with a four-band EQ with a selectable high shelf (10kHz, 12kHz, 16kHz), a selectable mid-band (350Hz – 7.2kHz), and a low-mid band (35Hz – 220Hz). It also includes both high-pass and low-pass filters.

Premium Components

There are many small details which make the largest contribution to the finished sound. We made the extra effort to source critical components, such as the Vishay, Polystyrene and Tantalum capacitors, 1% metal film resistors and most importantly a Toshiba 2N3055 output transistor, which all hugely contribute to the unit’s sound and character. All these components combined create a unique coloration on this unit, your recordings will benefit from the recognisable warmth of the original, which is described by many as deep and incredibly detailed. There is a reason these units have been the most popular choice in studios for the past 50 years. They create the sonic footprint we associate with professional recordings.
