Stunning sound ...definition....simply perfect..I just connected the Yamaha S_300 CD to the RME with a coax and the RME to the Hegel 160 amp which run a pair of Elac Uni-Fi 2.0 bookshelf speakers with balanced cables...and the RME DAC straight out of the box. WOW This DAC Clearly stands on its own ...well above the DAC in the Hegel Amp....and the DAC in the Yamaha CD player. in every way .An outstanding stunning DAC .I can verify others statements ( Unbelievably good...Fantastic quality and flexibility...Amazing headphone DAC-amp.
