Avantone CV-95 Large Capsule Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone
The Avantone Pro CV95 is a large diaphragm tube condenser studio microphone. The CV95 features 9 selectable polar patterns, and includes a durable steel carry case, elegant wooden microphone box, Shock-mount, PS-1BV PSU with selectable polar patterns, a foam windshield and the required 7-pin cable for PSU - Microphone connection. The CV95 is part of Avantone’s ‘Cabernet” series of microphones, that are embodied by their high quality construction and gracefull finish. Technically, the CV95 features a 25mm gold-sputtered 6 micron Mylar capsule with a pleasing silky high-frequency response.

The versatile CV-95 mic is able to produce professional results with a warm, pleasing sonic character.
The included Custom Retro Shockmount is superb in allowing a precise positioning of the mic while inhibiting the transfer of unwanted vibrations up into the mic. This isolation allows for superior professional results.
The PS-1BV power supply offers access not only to the above OMNI, CARDIOID, and FIGURE-8 patterns but also 6 "in-between" settings. Most vocals will be best suited to Cardioid pattern but you may experiment to satisfy yourself. The omni-mode works well in some rooms for ambient room mic usage -
