MOTU 8A - AVB Thunderbolt/USB3 Audio Interface with ESS Sabre32 DAC
The MOTU 8A is an AVB audio interface with Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.0 connectivity. The 8A is a half rack-unit design with 8 X 8 analog I/O via TRS, and up to 8 X 8 digital I/O. The 8A uses the same ESS Sabre32 ultra high-end convertors found in flagship MOTU AVB interfaces the 16A and 1248. Like all other MOTU AVB audio interfaces, the 8A features the same flexible DSP mixer and included DSP FX. MOTU have maintained their reputation for stable high performing drivers, with round trip latency as low as 1.6ms via Thunderbolt. The 8A is 24bit, and capable of running at 192kHz.
